great food and beer options and they had live music as well. it was a lovely place on the water and I'm glad we stopped in!

The food is very tasty, we enjoy eating here when we go to the Everglades. Nice atmosphere over looking the waterway. We went Saturday and Sunday night for dinner. I got the fried bread with salsa and it was really good, however it was different each night, no consistency. But, it wont stop us from eating there in the future when visiting,

Camellia Street Grill represent the best in local owned restaurants. It's a unique experience to be in the Everglades , and made all the more enjoyable to have a unique experience eating on the water. Though the bugs did come out and forced us inside, the inside is just as nice. Sitting next to a group of German tourist dressed as if going to dinner in a big city added to the vibe of this place. Food is great, location is awesome don't miss!!

A quirky little waterside spot in the heart of Everglades city. Casual vibes and uplifting live music in the evenings, it's the perfect spot to kick back, relax and just take it easy. The ladies at the front counter were wonderful in recommending all the local favorites. We tried the tacos, gator bites, milkshakes and so much more. Will be planning to visit again our next stop in to Everglades city.

Fried gator and fried calamari was excellent. Everyone in our party was happy with their food. Food came out fast and good value.

Wow this restaurant blew me away with all of their seating and choices for food! Right on the water so you can watch the boats go by, and they've got decent music playing but not too high that you can't hear your party. Seating is in the sun or under cover. The ordering line was easy enough to get through, they give you a number for your table and you take where you want to sit and the friendly waitresses bring it to you and ask if you need anything else. Fountain drinks are self serve, so you can get free refills. I thought it was a VERY nice touch that they had cut limes on the side of the soda fountain for your use. We asked for a key lime pie which was promptly brought to us and the check was as well. This restaurant is a very well oiled machine with pretty great food and reasonable prices.

Forget Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter... I prefer Stone Crab season. When the season arrives (October 15), my wife and I make a day trip over to Everglades City at least a couple times. Of course Stone Crabs are available closer to home but we love getting it as fresh as you can possibly get and love the uniqueness of Everglades City; And Camellia Street Grill is my favorite. Camellia Street Grill is as casual and laid back as you could ever be. Once you cross from the parking lot into the open space of the restaurant, you can see a mish-mosh of tables and decor of various colors and styles. The planters are loaded with so many types of plants/flowers and have so many different pots thrown in... even the ground cover is confused; some areas pavers, some decorative concrete slabs, a bunch of wood docks. Inside the restaurant building they have a menu board (that changes slightly fort minor changes or for dishes they fun out of). You order at the counter and then take a seat with your number and they will bring your food to you once it is ready. Where to seat... so many options... you can stay inside the building's dining room, or the open tables all throughout the courtyard area, then there are tables along then dock overlooking the Barron River (some covered by the roof overhang of the building and some out in the sun). Our desire to come is, of course, the Stone Crab... but we always get our feet wet with other main dishes and appetizers. The staff is always very friendly and when you order they make great recommendations (even telling when something is not up to par). Beyond the Stone Crabs, I love their fish sandwiches (blackened); last visit they had Cobia (so delicious). Also like their Calamari, Salads and the Sweet Potato Fries... the Fried Green Tomatoes are different but in a good way; not served in the traditional southern state fashion (these are cut into square chunks). Just writing this reminds me that I need to take a day trip soon...

I came down to South Florida to explore the Everglades, so in my quest to visit all four of the visitor's centers, I passed by Everglades City. Some quick research told me that this place was the place to go. So in I went for a nice, riverside lunch. Plenty of seating, even with a decent line at the register. When I got to the front of the line, I asked for some advice, and I got some pretty darn good advice. I can't find a good menu for them, so I don't have exacts, but I can paraphrase. I opened up with some she crab soup. The only thing that matters with crab soups is how much crab is in it, and there was a decent amount of it, so I was pleased with that. I was also pleased with the crispy fried wonton strips that were served with it for nice dipping and nice added texture. Very nice stuff. I also got a fried grouper finger basket with some nice, thick-cut sweet potato fries. Excellent breading. Not too much, adhered nicely, added a nice crisp. I also like the thick fries, because you get to taste the actual sweet potato, very nice. The only thing I was noticing in this meal was a lack of seasoning. Doesn't surprise me. What is probably their main clientele demographic isn't used to seasoning. But that's ok. Not the end of the world. Finally, I got the big feature on their menu that day, the stone crab tacos. No lack of flavor here! That sweet crab meat needs no seasoning. Very delicious. And it was topped with a beautiful slaw that added acidity and freshness and crisp. Very happy with these tacos. Turned this experience from a four to a five star, for sure. Overall, there were a few places in town to choose from, but if you're reading this, take my word for it, this place will not disappoint.

Funky, corky place to eat in Everglades City. Great decor, very lived in, many outdoor area, some back into the water, so you get great views of the boats passing by. No frills, you go, check out the blackboard with the menu and order. Get your drinks, they give you a number and bring your food at the table, then pay at the end, not when you order, which is strange. We had lunch here. I tried the shrimp po boy sandwich with fries, it comes on a bun, not baguette, plenty of nice fried, huge shrimps and bacon. Loved the sauce they used. Kinda hard to eat from the bun, but tasty. The lettuce wasn't fresh, had black spots so I removed it. Otherwise, good sandwich and nice fries. The others in my group had the fresh stone crab lunch, meaty and soft, a tad sweet in a nice way with great tartar sauce. It comes with fries or sweet potatoes fries. For drinks, we had their local Everglades Fishing Co Ale which had a nice bite. They had other beers on the menu, but I like to try local brew and this one didn't dissappoint! Decent customer service. One restrooms for everyone so the lines can get longer. Otherwise no complaints. We loved the tunes they were playing, enjoyed the views and the food. Cool, funky restaurant to try when you visit Everglades city, charming, with a lot of local flavor!
